Yep Abreu won too. Good for him, though I was rooting for David Ortiz.

daaaaaa braves

Yes I'm a total hometown fan.

Things are nice and dandy down here in the NL Eastern. The Braves are really going to have to work for the Division Title this year with the Washington Nationals kicking ass all the time. At least it's more entertaining than usual.

The Braves have good bats this year even without Larry in the line up this time around. Our pitching is basically average. It's been nice seeing the Braves have to convert to a more cunning defensive/strong hitting team over the last few seasons. They're really going to have to kick it into gear by August. There's no way they'd survive as a wildcard team.

Even if they make Division they'll be destroyed in the NL playoffs. Such is baseball. The Braves have had their glory years now Braves fans have to buckle up for a few rough seasons. My money is on the Nationals for division but the Braves might pull it off.

Just months after Rafael Palmeiro testified before congress that he never used steroids, and days after he recorded his 3,000th hit, he has been suspended for steroid abuse.

I was reading this and like WTF....did someone hild him down and forcibly inject him. Or did someone say, "here Rafael, take some of this candy. No, it's not steroids, it's candy, and it will make you play better." I find it very hard to believe he was not a willing participant. he got caught in his lie and is now trying to safe face.

I'm first and foremost a Giants fan. My # 2 team is the A's though. They're right on your ass in the division.

yep, it was a tough series between the Yanks. i watched one night, they had a lead like 7-3 and blew it. there was a similar thing the next night. yanks pulled it out like 8-7. it's okay, we kicked em' pretty good when they came here.

Dude, the A's are my #3 team behind the Cubs and the Giants. At least one of my top three has a chance to win their division. *mutters about the Cubs*

Victor Zambrano can kiss my ass. What the F are we paying him for? He gave up 4 home runs in 8 batter in the first 2 inning. And Beltran...6 at bats and not a single freakin hit???

I was at the game last night, and well, thank god for Mike Cameron. He got the job done when he needed to. And Cairo and Mietkiewicz also have impressive numbers for last night.

it was a great game, except i could not stay till the end because I had to get up early for work. That, and the obnoxious Brewers fans sitting in front of me.

The A's are 33-7 in their last 40 games. The last team to have a stretch that good in 40 games were the 98' Yankees.

The A's are no fuckin' joke.
