I just knew that once the Fox announcers gave a history lesson on how the Astros had lost all these games when they were so close to getting to the World Series that them getting to the World Series at least for now...is too good to be true.

You'd better hope that you win Game 6 because if the Cards win Game 6, they're winning the series...but Astros fans, they've beaten the Cards at Busch AND you're still up 3-2.

Quite frankly if I were Brad Lidge, no offense to his talent as a closer, but had I been in his position, I'd have completely bitched out to Pujols. I would have intentionally walked the bases loaded...because if you think about it they could have given up a base hit and the worse thing that would have happened is that they'd have had tied the game.

Bottom line, I don't think I'd have pitched to Pujols in a situation with the game on the line like that.

I just went to What If Sports and did a simulation based on tonight's lineups.

It has the St. Louis Cardinals winning 5-3 tonight.

Well, they were wrong. Considering St.Louis is down 5-1 in the 8th right now.

Looks like it's gonna be a Sox/Stros World Series(unless there's some more late inning heroics by the Cards of course)

There will be some exellent pitching match-ups with those 2 clubs.

Oh man, you aint seen nuthin yet bro. Just wait till the Series actually starts! Every pitch you're on the edge of your seat! And I mean EVERY pitch!

I think it's great the Biggio and Bagwell finally get to go to a World Series. They have a combined 33 years of being in the bigs, and this will be their first trip there. That's awesome.
