Everything the Mets have done this season has been so great, and, for once, they may actually be better than the Yankees. I'm not really a Mets fan, but I absolutely despise the Yankees, so I've got the Mets going all the way to the World Series where they will meet the Yankees and hopefully stomp on them. George Steinbrenner and Company have had way too many playoff appearances and have hogged the spotlight long enough in New York, so the Mets are long past due to knock them from their perch.

I hate to say it, but I don't think any of your wishes are going to come true. The Padres lead the Dodgers by 1 1/2 games in the NL West and I don't see them grabbing the wild card either because of how hot the Phillies have been and the fact that the season is down to its final week. Plus, the Athletics only need a win and an Angels loss to clinch the AL West. So, I guess you will have to wait until next year!

As much as I like Nomar (and I was born and raised in l.a. and am moving back there on tues!) I'm still behind the Padres before I'm behind the Dodgers. Weird, but ah well.
The Rev broke the record for most career saves tonight! WOOT!
As long as the Mets don't win it, I'll be happy. LOL. Although, I'll take the Mets over the Yankees anytime.

rolando19552001 will become famous soon enough
Both of my teams were crushed in this season, The Braves are done as my hometown Red Sox, that is sad for me. But well, a new world champion who could it be everyone but the Yanks please no. But I must confess that a new subway series would be amazing, imagine this Pedro Martinez vs. Randy Johnson in game 7, I know it is no Clemens vs. Piazza but come on, that should be good.

to bad for the mets pedro will be out for the entire playoffs. looks like they should of tried to get zito @ the deadline.

if the astros win the central and make the playoffs they will be the team to beat in the national league. their pitching is ridiculous. Clemens/Oswalt/Petitte. OUCH.

i assume he was referring to this.

clemens and piazza can still end up facing off if the 'stros play the dodgers in the PO. i'm hoping the giants can end their(dodgers) playoff hopes this weekend though. it's gonna take a sweep to do it. i will be seriously fuckin' pissed if the dodgers celebrate a playoff berth on the giants field. :/
