All praise to Jim Leyland...those Tigers are HUNGRY!

Fucking Zumaya is off the wall pitching 102-103mph

I think that if the Yankees lose, the team will start to dismantle.

i cant believe that the yanks lost, but the way kenny pitched, anyone would have lost. but theres always games4 and 5 for the yanks. i want a repeat of 2000, Yankees vs Mets.

Oh, I know. He was just fabulous. I have never seen any pitcher make the Yankees hitters look so bad than Boderman did today. For a 23-year-old pitcher, he certainly didn't look nervous against a great lineup with a great history. He pitched exactly the way any pitcher should pitch when trying to eliminate a team in the postseason. I didn't really care who got through the first round of the playoffs in any series going in as long as one of those teams that advanced was not the Yankees because I hate them so much. Now that they are no longer in, I hope the Tigers can go all the way to the World Series because they are so good and so young. I love any time that beats the Yankees in the postseason, especially when its early on and I love seeing those Yankees fans cry because they think the world ends any time their team loses. As Cfw828 said, I see a big firesale looming in the Bronx and I think A-Rod will be the first player to go in that sale. That is not going to bother me at all because the Yanks have so much money to spend and its about time they shared it with everybody else.

I think it would be nice to see a Detroit vs. Mets world series. I obviously want the Mets to go to the WS cause I'm a huge Mets fan. And I'd like to see the Tigers in the final cause it's like a Cinderella story kinda. Just three years ago they lost 119 games and they totally turned it around.

Anyways...GO METS!!!

Well, the Mets are halfway to the World Series now because they just finished off the Dodgers with a 9-5 win. You also have predicted the same WS matchup that I have. The Mets are the only NL team that has a legit shot of making it to the Fall Classic and the Tigers have already proven so many people wrong with their victory over the Yanks, so it would only be fitting if they could go all the way to the biggest stage their is in baseball. I also have the Mets penciled in as my champion of the whole thing because I really would like to see ex-Diamondback Shawn Green win a ring and there is nothing I like more than seeing ex-Diamondbacks succeed with new teams.
