I just wanted to say a few things...

First of all, I think every entry this week is amazing. I think all of us have very unique voices, and even if Dhamma didn't name the entries, we could all probably pick out who did what. Everyone did an amazing job, and I'm honored to be amongst these other contestants.

Most people know that I am a musician, and that I have a home studio. So yes, I have the ability to make my covers sound more professional than most people who entered this contest. But I don't want that to become a deterrent from the other contestants, or even myself. I've noticed a few people's comments have been in that vain, basically saying their vote went to "this person" because they "did/didn't" have "this or that". I completely understand, and I respect people's opinions. But this is a contest, and votes should go towards the vocals you enjoy the most. I know most people are going by who they liked the best, but I've seen some that are voting for me just because of the intro, or voting against me because I have professional equipment.

I want this to be fair. I don't want the sound quality of my entry to have any bearing on my votes. And I certainly don't want people to think I "cheated" by adding the live intro. I simply wanted to make it my own.

Each contestant in this competition has made their entries their own, and each finalist has full and deserved right to be here. I just think people have been taking things into account that shouldn't matter. (i.e. who knows who, who has better/worse equipment)

I had actually debated submitting an entry with no effects or harmonies simply because I hate when anyone is judged on their ability/inability to mix. But I am a perfectionist and as a musician I just couldn't submit something that wasn't my all; that wasn't my 100%.

So whether you know the person or not, whether you think they used the correct reverb here/there, or whether they sounded good on a crappy mic shouldn't matter. What should matter is the overall vocal performance.

I'm sorry, I just felt I needed to say something.
