George Orwell

I love these two authors. Their works are very original, inspiring, and powerful. Once you've read 1984 you're outlook on society will never be the same again. And Garth Nix should recieve MUCH more praise then he gets. He's earned it. Hands down one of the best fantasy, sci-fi writers of all time. He's so good he has earned the right to stand amongst J.R.R. Tolkein and Frank Herbert in both genres. The Abhorsen Trilogy is a must-read series.
