NBA fans FTL. It sickens me that the Suns and Mavericks, the two best teams in the NBA, don't get a single starter for the Western Conference in the All-Star Game. Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki would have been the first two players I would have picked as starters, especially since Nash has won two consecutive MVP Awards and Nowitzki guides the league's best team. I also thought that both of those players were popular among the fans, but I guess they aren't, otherwise they would have probably been picked as because I think that is the main criteria the fans use to judge who is the most deserving of the five starting spots, which is why I am not at all a fan of the entire lineup. I have never cared for Kobe Bryant because he is nothing but a ball hog and is extremely arrogant in the way he talks and acts, Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming are both injured, I haven't heard a lot about Tim Duncan this year and I don't really think he is that good to begin with, and Kevin Garnett doesn't play for that good of a team and his stats aren't nearly as eye-popping as those put up by Nash and Nowitzki, whom also happen to be the two favorites to win the NBA MVP this year.
I know that there is a very good posibility that Nash and Nowitzki will still be voted onto the Western Conference All-Star team as reserves by the head coaches, but it still wouldn't be the same or any less unfair. Both of them combined have way too much individual talent to be relegated to the bench in the most important NBA game of the year outside of the NBA Finals, and their teams are legions above the rest of the league that they should have been the top two vote-getters, IMO.
