I will tell you all why Katya being a mod would be a monumental mistake.

Firstly, she has precisely zero sense of humour, which translates into her not being able to take a joke... at all. This has been demonstrated time and time again, and not just by me.

Secondly, she takes things way, way, way too personally. She cannot call things down the middle without her personal feelings affecting whatever sort of moderating decisions she has to make. This has been demonstrated countless times both on evthreads, and on IRC when she was around. Personal feelings have ZERO place in an environment where neutrality is promoted and enforced.

Furthermore, the only reason Katya is a mod on Evthreads is because her friends (whom are/were mods) slapped her with moderator status. She has done absolutely nothing to earn or warrant the position, let alone having any sort of legitimate recommendation short of clueless pre-pubescent teenagers raving at how supposedly "awesome" she is. The exact same thing is happening here. Hardly credible.

She has been an absolutely terrible moderator on Evthreads, and she would be an absolutely terrible moderator here. She may be nice, yes. But it is precisely that niceness (and naive personality) that is her downfall.
