Most artists realize that they cannot duplicate the vocals on the album when they go on tour. Many times, they will lower the tone of the songs so the artists can sing at a lower register and save their voice.

If Amy had a vocal coach, she would learn how to sing to save her voice. Amy may have been in choir, but there is no way the little guidance she had from her teacher could have taught her what she needs to know to save her vocal chords from night after night of abuse.

Personally, I hate listening to live performances because the vocals I fell in love with on the album are no longer there. it's fun to see it live, or watch a live performance, but to simply listen to it - you can hear all the mistakes.
