New Warning/Strike system

Alright guys, we are going to be starting a new strikeout system in regards to dealing with member problems. Its my understanding you guys used to have something like this back in the day and it worked out fairly well. Unfortunately because of some members we feel the need to bring back a like system. From this point on the mod team will be using this warning/strike system so please make yourself familair with it.

-Your very first offense will be just a verbal warning inside the thread. Obviously I cannot name everything that might get you a warning but the most common things I've seen going on lately are baiting, flaming, personal attacks on other members, bombing threads, cross posting (posting the same message in multiple forums) and I'm sure we'll be adding more

-Once you are verbally warned in the thread if you ignore the warning from the mod to stop or you begin to challenge them in the thread you will immediately go into a one week temp ban. If you wish to discuss the warning like a civilized adult you are free to PM the mod who issued the warning or anyone else on staff for that matter.

I need to make it very clear to you all though, do not challenge the mod team inside a thread once you have been warned. The mod team is a good group of people who are fair when you treat them that way. We are all working hard to be fair and friendly to everyone here but be disrespectful to us and we won't play into your games, we will simply put you on a temp ban to give you time to cool down.

If you happen to put yourself into a situation where you end up on a temporary ban, upon your return we will be watching your account for awhile. Come back with the same attitude you left with and you will be perma-banned.

As long as you stop when a mod asks you to and don't cross the line we draw inside threads you should be fine. That also doesn't mean you can push us to a warning before stopping as much as you want. As I said, we will be watching so if we see you pushing us to warnings often you'll still end up on a temp ban.

-The above warning/ban system will apply to most cases around the site, but there are times where members do things beyond forgiving. Unwelcome sexually explicit and degrading comments, racial slur's, pornograhical uploads, uploading anything with malicious intent (viruses, trojans, etc), trying to break into the admin/mod panels, stealing other's account info and using their name to post up garbage, etc...will result in an on the spot perma-ban.

-Then come the "misdemeanors" on the site. For this we will have a 3 strikes and your out type of system. The strikes will be given out once we've told you and you still don't listen to us on such things like, posting links to unreleased videos, consistently posting stuff in the wrong place, consistently double, triple posting, etc....We will give you plenty of chances (especially new people) before you start getting strikes, but if you are consistently causing us to do extra work because you don't care to try to put things where they go we will begin giving you strikes. Get three of then and your done, your account will be banned from EVboard.

Of course this new warning/strike system will likely undergo some tweaking and changes but we will always let you know here in this thread when something is changing. Its up to you to be aware of this program, coming back to us saying you didn't know isn't going to cut it. Also, if you wish to talk to me directly regarding an instance out on the forums don't be afraid to PM me. I'd be happy to look into it and discuss it with you so long as your civil about it.

In the end we want EVboard to be a place where there are differences of opinion but everyone can tolerate and interact without all the animosity. You may not all have to like each other but you do have to put up with each other if you want to stay apart of this community.

I'm sure there will be tons of questions and we'll all do our best to answer them
