Well... we can't oblige her to like it... I mean you don't like «those two songs»...it's not a reason to dislike you... and, My immortal... it has been in the band since the early years... so they played it for almost a decade(not as mush as they played it in the past...3 years let's say but still...). And a lot of fans are just...annoyed by MI because it has been somehow overplayed (but, yeah, your are right the «softer fans» (as I call them) who mostly listen to singles and radio really like it and want it to be played... so it is normal that they still play it live... but it would be stupid to love a song just because it was their most popular (with Bring me to life)... if it was the case, you'd say that she is hypocrite and that she only loves it because of the success and all that shit... she has her opinions and it's better for her to tell them than to lie just to be as everyone would love her to be (which would make her an hypocrite)

And for the public image if she said that they won't do any new album... well... if she said that... wouldn't it just drag more fans to their shows because those would be their last ones... I don't know if they'll do a third album... but I don't think it is a question of public image... because, financially and popularity wise... it would be somehow «good» if they said that this was their last album... Just my opinion...feel free to bash it or contradict it... but... that how I see it (just look at those celebrities who are doing their 15th «Goodbye tours»...they always do that because it makes people want to come to the concerts, because it may be the last one)
