stories in lights
I watch the storm clouds roll in
read the stories in the flashes
in this bright light my pulse quickens
I know it is time, to say goodbye
to dangerous to stay
I will get burnt
the settling rumble of the thunder
calms my shattered nerves
I know the worst is yet to come
but I would rather stay here
then hide away
I feel the power of the storm
give me strength
to face my fears
let the rain come
and mask these tears
clear blue skies I can see the stars
I will wait here for the next storm
for another fight
I'll learn the stories embeded in the light
