As an older member, I agree and I think it should be kept for people who actually donated (and I realize that people now did not have the chance, but that is beside the point) and contributed in a substantial form. And only open to those people.
Either that or just put everyone on the same level. Why do we need perks here anyway? What purpose do they serve? What "perks" are there for PS other than a fancy usertitle bar and a forum that never gets posted in?

And as far as the clique-yness of Evboard, its not as bad as it used to be. Most of the people that post here now are very open to new members. They just choose to not post. It's not our fault really.

The cliqueyness of EvBoard is exactly the same and always will be, it's just a new clique and yes, people are nice to new people but that still doesn't make it any less clique-y.
I've written pages upon pages talking about this with other people. And I really think that if EvBoard is going to benefit from anything it's going to be making it a user-friendly forum and having basic usergroups. Members, Mods and Admins. None of this other stuff. And also maybe toning down the sexual comments and language a bit.
I know this sounds hypocritical coming from me, but after a recent experience elsewhere and seeing how another forum thrives from this kind of membership mentality, I really think it'd be beneficial.
ETA: Also having members be members first, this includes admins, mods etc... people who only post when there is stuff changing (in terms of the mod team and admins) or technical stuff is going down should be members first. Mods and admins should contribute to discussion with members outside of website changes first, then that second. But whatever, I'm just a member and I'm entitled to my opinion, but I feel like theres more of a user group split here. Some mods don't post unless it concerns them as mods, they're not members, they are simply moderators.
ETA: My other question is---this concerns the PS group, why is this public?
