I use my laptop when I travel mainly to store pictures on. I take a ton of photos when I travel. When we go to family reunions, I take the laptop so that I can burn the pictures to disk for people. That way I can give them the disk there rather than having to burn it at home then mail it out or find another means to get it to them. I just mainly use it for convenience.

I had so many pictures on mine, and when my hard drive failed I was unable to recover half of them (and ALL of my music) I'm investing in an external hard drive now. *grumble*
