TARJA is not a composer,is a good singer but like you said, she needs something more than a soprano or mezzo soprano style,she needs to show that is not only "the face of Nightwish",or the ex- singer,but just time.
Maybe in two years.And now i remember the Tuomas words:"You will never be good enough to write the songs, because that is not business for you.You'd never came to me to compose together,or to the rehearsals IN 10 YEARS!".

Emma Chaplin, is a good one,with also an operistic and soprano style.
And the difference between Sharon and Tarja,is that Tarja went to Sibelius,to study lyric music,and Sharon learned by herself.And a good point to Sharon is that she is the responsable of the orchestral arrangements of the wt' s albums
