mildmanneredgoth is on a distinguished road
i do agree that "Good Enough" is about finally coming to terms with yourself and accepting yourself, but i don't know, i kinda sense some ambiguity there as well. It seems to be about self esteem as well, on reckoning that you're worthy of someone who you think the world of, and perhaps not quite believing that you're being loved back in equal measure.

"And I'm still waiting for the rain to fall. Pour real life down on me. Cause I can't hold on to anything this good enough. Am I good enough for you to love me too?"

This seems to indicate a fear of losing the happiness you hold now as well, becuase it's just far too good to be true.

From the video, i get the impression that perhaps in the past, Amy probably didn't believe in herself very much (the blurred mirror etc.), but because of the person who she's dedicating the song to (her husband, right?), perhaps because of his love and support, of his faith in her, she starts to gain more confidence again, illustrated by the shoots growing at the end of the vid, and she feels good enough again.

"It's been such a long time coming, but I feel good."

Bleah, anyway, those were just my 1/2 cents worth of what "Good Enough" could imply. Anyhow, it's a great song and pretty encouraging.
