2004 Baseball Season
Well opening day is upon us , and I thought I'de start Baseball thread..
So, whos your team , who looks good to you this season, ect..? As you can tell , Im a Giants fan. Always have been. Always will. Of course the Yankees have phenominal team, Boston is even better this year, I think the Giants dont have as good a team as the last 2 years , but I believe were still playoff bound. So lets "bat" this topic around! |

I used to watch baseball and then it seemed to be like every other season they were striking. So i gave up. But i wouldnt mind to start watching it again. I dont have a fave team. I just like the sport. Its the softball feeling coming out of me!

i think the the top 3 contenders for this year's championship are Cubs, Yankees, and Red Sox. The yankees have an AWESOME offensive presence but their pitching is worrisome. The Sox and Cubs however are more balanced. Both Sox and Cubs have an EXTREMELY talented pitching squad and good depth in the bullpen. When you have the likes of Wood, Prior, Maddux, and the supporting pitching staff coupled with their offense; and Martinez, Lowe, Schilling, and Wakefield, coupled with THEIR offense...then you know you're gonna have a good season.
pitching wins games btw...GO METS!!!! lol...i know, it's sad ... ![]() Last edited by Ceez : 04-06-2004 at 09:11 AM. |

15-2 And they faced the Cubs ![]() I agree with the choices to win it all...go figure when 2 of those teams have been 0-for-almost forever.

Well my Giants are 1-0 now that they beat the Astros yesterday..And of course my man Barry Bonds goes yard and hits a 3 run shot to tie it , then we got the go ahead run in the 9th..
Barry now has 659 homers, only one shy of tying his grandfather Willie Mays for 3rd on the all-time homer list.. |
