2006-07 NHL Season

oh hellz yea.

one month till the season starts. im super geeked.

a full season with Joe Thornton(MVP) and Jonathan Cheechoo(Rocket Richard winner). i can't wait.
plus, we picked up Mark Bell from the Blackhawks that will be playing left wing on the top line with Cheech and Joe. he scored 20 goals on a horrendous Blackhawk team, so playing with Joe should get him at least 35.

what did your teams do durring the off-season?

ps. apryl, the 12th of october, its so on.

Well I bought tickets for 23 Habs games this season, should be a lot of fun I'm still wondering who's gonna be the #1 goalie. Both are good, but who can stay on top all season long? If Huet has a good start again and keeps it up I wouldn't be surprise to see Aebischer traded before Christmas. I'm pretty happy with the changes made during the off season. Goodbye Bulis, Sundstrom and Zednick, welcome Johnson, and Samsonov All we need a a good center between Kovalev and Samsonov and everything will be great. The rookies will have to step up a little more and hopefully Koivu will be 100% when the season starts. That stick in the eye didn't do much good.

23 games....nice.
2 of my buddies got season tix, so i'll be able to go to a bunch of games whenever one of them cant make it. plus my roomates friend has season tix and we'll be able to buy a few off him every couple of games. plus plus, i'll just buy some tix if the other options arent available. so i'm hoping i'll be going to around 20 or so games.

yea samsonov was a nice pickup, he should play well with kovalev. we also have somewhat of goalie controversy with nabby and toskala. i was hoping we could trade nabby durring the off-season but our GM didnt get an offer he liked. im pretty sure he'll be gone sometime in the season.

so yea....is it october yet?

Nabbi is quite expensive and well there's a few goalies on the market that could do a good job for less money. Anaheim, Buffalo and probably Montreal have the same problem with 2 goalies that can do the job. At the same time it's not that big of a problem

no you're right. that 5 million dollar price tag on nabby is quite hefty. especially with the not so stellar last season he had. it's definitley not a bad thing to have two #1's in goal though.

SoullessOne will become famous soon enough
I got my season tickets for the Sabres, and I am damn sure going to as many games as possible. I was there for every playoff game last year, and damn, what a ride. Now we got most of our team back, and as soon as Miller resigns, which is rumored to be by the end of the weekend, we'll seriously be looking to move Biron, again. But have a feeling we'll have him around until a goalie gets hurt or does not perform up to snuff.

We came close last year, and with some of the propects coming up from Rochester, we should still have a damn good team. Season ticket sales went from about 8000 last year to nearly 13000 so far this year. It should be a good crowd for nearly every game. Damn, I can't wait.

On the down side, I'm not looking forward to our new uniforms. Granted, they went back to the blue and gold... kinda. But, damn, that awful, awful slug of a logo. Oh well, can't win them all.

Okay, if that's what you really want.
You know, by the end of the season, the only reason I was even watching the games was because of you, lol.

But hey, if you need your American ass beaten yet again, I'm here for you.

Edit: Wait... I have to get surgery that day, so I might have to watch it in the hospital or something haha. And don't think I won't.
