My Immortal, My Immortal...

I get a feeling from it. I've always thought of it as someone deep in depression because of distancing. They've been cut off from friends or (more likely) lovers. Looking back on their relationship, they realize it's not a new thing, it's always been that way ("though you're still with me, I've been alone all along"). Deep sadness over a breakup or death - that's what I sense from the song. But then, I may be entirely wrong.

Also, I'd like to say - great thread! I love it. And I think an interesting song to do would be Farther Away... just a suggestion...
