Fuck Smytho, you're really fucking lost over there aren't you.

Let me help you, really. That' s what I'm trying to do. And I'm just like the 'arsehole' you spoke to today was. Hell, could have been me. Actually, what's your account number(j/k).

There's some really big fundemental flaws about using cable. I can tell you 60% of the people I talk to have serious problems and normally slam the phone down in my ear. The cable for it isn't being laid anymore, period. And they've got good reason not to. To get cable access extended from two houses away can cost the customer up to (and past) seven thousand dollars. That's for two houses. They aren't going to cover ripping up thousands of lawns just so you can get your cable internet. Moving cable from one place to another will cost you nearly two hundred dollars, and you might be without internet access for over two weeks, and there's a good chance you might not be able to get it at all. And you know the unlimted plans? They aren't unlimited, it's shaped after ten gig. If you want your internet just to hoover, it's going to smash download limits on any ISP quick as hell.

Plus, with cable, you are STUCK with dealing with 'them', at least with ADSL if you don't like it at one place you can get your account transfered to another. It's easier to relocate, and it's not limited to having one plug in the house for it. The speed is quick enough and the limits are high enough for reasonable usage. If you are looking to download constantly, you aren't going to be able to do it unless you want to fork out a lot of dough a month, cable or no. If you want to spend around $50 a month you can get a semi decent ADSL plan. With ANY provider, not just 'them'.

Right, didn't mean for all that to blow up in your direction, been a long day O_o.
this is not, has never, and will never be the opinion of that big megacloperation. please, i really enjoy my job...
