Without her here beside him.
The pleasure seems, to melt away;
The emptiness, inside his soul, seems so much larger . . .
So he cries himself to sleep.
And dreams of,

So soft,
And warm,
And bright.
And hears in,
His mind,
'My love,'
'I miss you so.'

He scarcely finds his feet . . .
This is how he vents,
When he can't hold,
All that's inside him.
This is how he speaks to her,
When he finds, that words are frightening:
'I dream of,
Your eyes . . .'
'So soft,
And warm,
And bright.'
'You're here in,
My mind . . .'
'My love,
I need you so much.'
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
'You chase the darkness from my life'
