1. I beleive it is possible. I don't know how, but you really don't need to bother. (this answers question 2 as well) eBay has a very secure system and the only way any of the information you have entered could be viewed by somebody else would be to buy or sell something.
Even if you are selling something, the most information the public can see is your city. Buying is usually done through paypal, so nobody except the people involved in your transaction will ever see anything other than a mailing adresse.
