But I had a good cry out of it, which is what I think I needed.

So young, so pure,
innocence lost
a gift from god
her heart and lungs so weak
how can something so perfect have everything stacked against her
angels and light
renewed hope at the age of four
free of tubes
freedom to run
now age seven
she's ready to go home
a blizzard engulfs her home
she is calm
a familar scene
her body weakens
she reassures her mother, father and brother
that she will be alright
she closes her eyes
for eternal slumber

in memory of Kalana Elyse 1990-1997

Wow, I really liked this poem. I like poems or stories that take you places, where you can kinda drift off and daydream as you read it and actually picture what's going on in the poem/story. Nice job!

Also like your pictures, too. Particularly the trees & sunset ones, and the picture inspired by Alarandiia's song.

Keep it up!
