The Incinerator
My name doesn’t matter
My history will be written
My plan is one for the ages
A secret until it’s much too late
I dare to draw my sword
Against enemies I barely know
But whose faces I’ve seen before
And whose values clash with mine
Moving quickly
The time creeps near
With life to lose
And a higher power to gain
My blatant hatred
Strapped around my waist
Hidden from others
Yet all too close to me
I’ve watched with aching horror
The bloodshed, the chaos on these streets
Mothers crying, children shrieking
As men in camouflage storm in
Their words – garbled ramblings I don't understand
Yet I’ve formed their meaning on my own
Their influence will spread, their stay for good
What if I’m wrong?
Well… no time for second-guessing now
Standing tall
At the busy streetcorner
My heart racing
Counting the seconds
My fearless pride
Burning my core
As unsuspecting eyes
Remain blind to my existence
They’ll never know what hit them…
