I think what makes us human is the fact that we question our own existence and ask why? the fact that we have the ability to advance at an ever increasing rate, the fact that we can think beyond the basic needs of life, like eating, the fact that we have learned to repair ourselves and are getting better at it. I'm guessing that the question means, What separates humans from the rest of the earthly animals?
