I'm only guessing but I'd say that would simply be a case of you recieving half the prize and your friend/buddy or whatever would get...well nothing!

Actually, though I've never done it myself, my understanding is that recording, syncing, and mixing a duet (presumably by 2 people in different locales) is double the effort of a solo performance.
Let's just say that both participants need to be members of evboard.
