A Great and Terrible Beauty [BOOK]
(Sorry if this isn't the right place for this but i searched!)
Has anyone read this book? (by Linda Bray) I read it a few months ago, it was really good. Victorian Era, whole girls-not-wanting-to-follow-the-crowd thing. With a magical twist. Actually, the main reason i'm asking is i have a book report on it due monday and i can't think of what i want to do for it... I'm supposed to pick some climactic scene and act it out. I don't know what scene to do. :/ Anyone who's read the book have any ideas? Read it. It's good. |

You all probably hate me for reviving such an old thread, but I love this book (and Rebel Angels as well), and can't wait for the third in the trilogy to come out (I've heard sometime in 2007).
For more information on the books you can go to: http://www.libbabray.com/ Aaand, I just found out today that they are making the books into a movie. http://www.movieweb.com/news/49/13649.php Of course, it won't be out anytime in the near future, but I just thought I'd share.

Rebel Angels is AMAZING. We find out a lot about Felicity, and the Realms. Also, we find out who Circe is. BIG INTRIGUE. You must read it. LoL. Can't wait for the third book to come out. Libba has a LiveJournal, FYI. There's a link on her website.

I LOVE these books! I found the first in a random book store last year on holiday and by the end of the holiday I forced my parents to buy me the second one for the airplane home Does anyone know when the third one is out?

Hey I read the first book with my friend... can anyone tell me if the next one is enjoyable? *i really don't want to be disappointed like i was with the Pretties (i know its a different series, but to me the second book can never be compared to the first)* So if anyone can help me out... it would be greatly appreciated!!

I read this book because the corset on the front was lovely. I hated it about halfway through because they suddenly started introducing magic and I personally thought it was like utterly ridiculous. I don't know. Maybe I'll go back and read it again, because it's been a while.

These books are great; my two favorite genres are historical fiction and fantasy and these books have both. |
