It has come to light in recent events that certain things may need to be revisted as well as fully disclosed since no one actually takes the time to read the coveted FAQ. I am postitve this thread will fall into that catagory in the near future. I do believe that the mods of this board have done a very good job of turning EvBoard into a kinder, gentler place than it once was...please return the favor. Staying on when the place was sure to tank should earn us at the very least some respect.
That being said, there are still boundries. There is a reason this place has become kinder and gentler and it may not always be seen by all of it's members. While we may take a less stern approach it doesn't mean that we should be walked on. It also doesn't mean that the members of this board can strong-arm us into doing things that we don't believe in. Those of you who continue to push this envelope will be seeing consequences. Every one of you know the difference between right and wrong and if you are worried at this point, it's a guilty conscience. 98% of you have nothing to worry about. Likewise, if you have broken a rule you will be notified, it will not be a surprise.

Point #1
Be Kind. The Golden Rule applies here. "Treat others the way you would like to be treated". This is self-explanatory.

Point #2
Ganging up on other members, public flogging, and disrepect will not be tolerated. This includes the chat area. If you see something of this nature occuring please either PM a moderator or use the report post button found in the bottom left-hand corner of each post.

Point #3 (Because this hasn't gone unnoticed)
Do not play the victim. If a moderator has handled a situation, drop it. Starting unnecessary drama will be reprimanded as well.

Point #4
If you have a problem with another member of this board it may be beneficial to use the ignore feature. I know I would use it if I could.

Point #5
Public bashing of the administrator or moderators is prohibited.
They are all volunteers; they do not get paid. Please refrain from badmouthing them.
If you have a legitimate issue, the moderators welcome you to send your concern to any one of them in a private message. Additionally, this rule does not prohibit civil disagreement between members and moderators. Disagreements will happen from time to time, but the manner in which you handle them is the key.
Against popular belief the mods of this board are here because they love this place. They make decisions that they believe are in the best interest of the board. We also try to do things discreetly and respectfully to benefit all members.


And my last point, in which I will speak on my behalf only because I feel this needs to be addressed: Banning a friend is not easy. Much like spanking/reprimanding your child, it hurts you as well. But some things should not and cannot be overlooked. This should speak to the "unfair/favoritism" comments I have seen flung around recently. As far as a "woe is me mod" attitude, I took on this opportunity knowing full well what it entailed.
I think everyone here knows my feelings for this place and it's members.

I love all of you...and I hate all of you sometimes too!

Seriously though...you would think people here would know this stuff by now. I have been in the mod position before and the unwarranted hatred that a select few threw my way was ridiculous. Show some decency, for heaven's sake, and realize that acting the dramawhore just annoys the rest of us.

P.S. the mods here rule. I've known most of them for a long time now and they pwn, both as people and as mods. Mess with one of 'em and FEAR MY WRATH.
