AHA! I found the my stuff place!
heres one of my songs i wrote a while back when i was married to my ex. written in regards to my husband of 2 1/2 yrs
Our Love Died Karin Morris (C) We used to share something special But your selfishness Got in the way You couldnt give a damn what I think do or say but you were always so quick so say I love you Chorus: Oh actions speak louder than words And words from you are all I ever heard This pain and this heartache that I go through To tell u that I'm through Hurts more than I thought Cuz I dont want this heartache anymore. what we lost cant be bought back by changing and fancy I cant believe in your words All of your promises only bring hurt Somehow I know once we loved ... maybe in some way you love me but it only hurts... I fall, I fail,
I try, I prevail no matter what the loss, I count the cost of each success and failure... My intentions are so pure, My impact can be sure And I cannot try hard enough to find a simple cure. The loss I sometimes feel, when abundance doesnt fall immediately in my lap; desired most of all- I see so much that that I lack. I cannot separate my effort from the prayers of every day. I can't take a breath That I need more today than yesterday. I need the love of God to help me day by day... I wonder what will be for us tomorrow... You have too much history With the demons of your past All I see in you now is a misery that lasts... Maybe you'll change? I doubt it... Come up for air? I doubt it... Will I be here...for ...you...tomorrow? I can't see myself living in this dark... It's too dismal watching you being HAUNTED BY YOUR PAST. I'm not saying I don't accept you for who you truly are But the pain of all you bear alone won't get us very far... Maybe this will change? I doubt it... Come up for some air? I doubt it... Will I be here...for ...you...tomorrow? I doubt it. |

i like these i can pick up a faint hint of rythm through them i honeslty think they would be better with music being as you have mentioned they are lyrics. however as poems they manage to stand by themselves fairly well.
