Well, Amy did pretty bad in most of the (TOD) songs in KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas and that was way back at the beginning of December...

I think the majority of people understand that. However, there are a few that keep missing the point. I totally agree with you though-- she's wrecking her instrument because she's not taking proper care of it.

I dont think her voice is going worse because she doesnt take care of it, i mean i've seen some performances of the past like rock am ring and i've heard her live on april, and i think her voice is 10 ways better than then.
And i know she can sound great on some concerts and not that good in others and i dont know why, and i think nobody here knows.

I can sing evanescence songs while jumping around and running easily. I sing their stuff everyday to warm up. And it's not too difficult. I've only been singing for year and half. and amy can't even pull off her own songs live lately.

That says something.

But anyway. Back in '03 at rock am ring, that performance was pretty good. When I first heard it, it sounded horrible. But if I compare that to how amy sings now, it sounds really good. Amy even struggles with the old songs now.

Anyway. We've all said that amy needs training. So I won't bother saying it again.

What makes you any more knowledgeable then the rest of us? Plus, if she's more talented than those girls out there (I also feel the need to ask if you've really listened to every single female fronted band before you made this generalization) then why can singers like Tarja Turunen, Cristina Scabbia and Sharon den Adel live up to the studio recordings when they perform live while Amy can't? I'm not saying that that's a requirement for being a good singer, but if Amy needs all that mixing and editing to sound good while other singers don't then that definitly contradicts your "fact".

wow i didnt knew this thread was called ageofourlies performance, but anyway i completely disagree with you, the idea of thinking that rock am ring 03 is better than any performance of 2007 it simply appears to me to be extremely ridiculus

You didn't quite get what I was saying. It's the fact that people that don't make the songs can sing them while moving around just as much as amy or more.

I wasn't comparing Rock am ring to every other concert. But to most it's still better.

The point is, that amy's performance has been lagging. Her voice sounds stressed and dried out. Is it not obvious?

A lot of times the voice of Amy gets stressed and dried out, but is not about the time, i mean, she's not getting worse, she always had this concerts with bad voice, and other concerts that she just sound great,

Sorry I just didn't understand because it said about.

I know she isn't horrible all the time but the concerts lately aren't good. Like everyone else has said she will eventually ruin her voice permanently(sp?)

Even if she got a little training it would improve the concerts now and Ev would get better reviews and maybe more fans. It's just that it's not enjoyable to watch live performances now with the stress on her voice and sometimes you can't even understand her.
