oh wow...that was so dark. I have to agree with Sky, I couldn't pick any particular line, or group, becaue you conveyed a different visual and emotion in perfect lines each time. I don't even know what to say...just wow.

Its been one of those weeks
All over one night

Still in production

I don't know how it started
The opening acts are a blur

As the sun falls like a marble from your hand
And the darkness comes over the land

Now I’m sitting in corner of a circular room
Noticing the little things changing
Things slowly start to stop rationality
As the buildings grow smaller
And the people become larger
As the snow falls along with the summer heat
And the rain comes to Earth with a winter’s chill
As my grip on reality begins to slip
And my heart slides even further away
I can’t get around it anymore
I’m looking for a savior
Praying for a messiah
All the while knowing
The moment may have passed me by
Is my mind and soul bound to this empty hole
Or in the midst of all the chaos
Is the one to take my hand to guide me
Still standing right in front of me
Waiting for me to take the step forward
Wanting me to take the risk of stepping off the cliff

Wow. It has been a long time since I've been here. Even longer since I've written anything worth the light of day.

This has been a very tough couple days for me, and at 4:30 in the morning it took me back to my old therapist: my pen and paper. I'm hoping that, after all of this is said and done, it will have me back to writing again, and not just when things aren't favorable.

Beyond Belief

She walked down the tunnel
For one last moment I could see her
I could feel it, and she was gone
She’d travel shortly
To a world a million miles away

And I knew then
That everything I’d felt before was true

As my chest dropped to the floor
And the oxygen escaped me
The complete lack of doubt became more pronounced
I love this girl beyond belief

When I felt everything falling down
For one last moment, I could see
I could feel it, the light was gone
Somewhere unannounced, uncharted
That’s when she called

And I knew then
That everything I’d felt before was true

As she helped me pick up the pieces
She put them back together, made them stronger
And if I ever needed a confirmation, I’d received it
I love this girl beyond belief.

As she walks out of the tunnel
For the first moment I can see her
I’ll feel it in my arms
She’s traveled shortly
From a world a million miles away

And then I’ll tell her
That everything I’ve felt before was true

As I hold her for the first time
And the relief overcomes me
I’ll look her in the eyes and say
“I love you beyond belief.”
