Wow, I don't think this girl is Amy, but she does sound a lot like her when she goes into her lower register. And it's Evanescence-esque in terms of the ethereal background vocals, kind of in the same vein as Give Unto Me and Forgive Me.

This is a beautiful song. *downloads and saves* I like it

....The more I listen to this song, the more I think that it's possible that it COULD be Amy. :X

After listening to this I can definately say that this is not Amy. The lower regiment as Katya has said is very convincing but the vocal placement of her head-voice is nothing like Amy's. She is far too "nasal" in her resonance. This is a beautiful song, just not a beautiful song sung by Amy.

Yeah, after listening to the song, I'm convinced that the female vocalist isn't amy. Her high pitches dont have that hint of Amy's chest voice like Amy's BMTL's live intro...it's got a hint of her actual voice whereareas this chick doesnt. It's a lovely song though!

Honestly, this doesn't sound anything like Amy to me. But then again, I'm the type of person that can point out if someone is lip-syncing by their breath sounds, and notice the slightest of changes in things. I have an obsession with speech.

First of all, the mix is horrible. Everytime the woman's voice swells, it spikes. 10 bucks says Amy Lee nor anyone in the band would ever record something that elementary.

Second of all, she uses her falsetto throughout the entire song, whereas Amy utilizes her chest voice most of the time, even in Hello.

Third, the way she ununciates (sp?) leads me to believe she's foreign. Pay attention to the way she ends her words, it's similair to Sharon of Within Temptation. There is little proununciation on her r's and her "ay" sounds. I would say she's from the UK.

Fourth, after hearing all of the songs Evanescence has recorded, this sounds nothing like any of them.

I will continue investigating who this may be, but my guess is it's a no-name artist from the UK.

Just a guess.

What's the difference between someone's falsetto and chest voices? I think I know what you mean just from listening to the song, but what's the technical difference? Thanks.

Your chest voice would be the voice you use to yell at someone. If you're home alone right now, yell as loud as you can "HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO!" That is your chest voice, it's a lot more powerful and is what Amy uses most of the time.

Your falsetto voice is your "false voice" that comes directly from your throat. If you sing and feel no resistance on your abdomen, you're using your falsetto voice.

I quite like this song and TOTALLY thought I had a lead when I typed the title into a music selling site, coming up with Princess Paragon - Angel Of Mine, but found out that is a stupid trance dance tune. It's beggining to annoy me aswell.
