But my dad was saying how he couldn't understand how the government can send $1bill overseas when our hospital system was falling apart... i have no idea what he is on about, maybe i should watch the news more and read more, Just i get the shits with it cause its always about some country blowing anouther country up. damn world. lol that mad face >>> <<< that one and Damn ---- (somthing) is my new thing, hehe so funny. My mother's a nurse who works in both the private and public health system and she is very unimpressed with the state of affairs.
The issues are a severe lack of doctors and nurses plus funding. The government keeps harping on about how they opened X number of beds but those beds aren't being used since there's not enough staff to look after any patients in them. |

if the government keeps bringing in 1000s of people a week, they have to spend some money to upgrade the hospital system, power system, and water system, because at the moment it just can't cope with all the people. well in Sydney anyway.

I agree with you jadeakira. We should stop whinging and whining about the negative stuff and start being grateful for all the postives this country has to offer. Like u said, "it could be a lot worse". If the recent Asian disaster hasn't already opened your eyes to how good we have it over here, then u need to make an appointment with an optometrist.
