Suposedly it gotten eaten by a coyote a little before the release of the TOD. Amy mentioned in an interview that it ran away and got killed.

I really hope that was just a mistake, that Zero was killed.
If it is true, I can only imagine, just how Amy took it.

I would have just broke down so hard, and would have cried my eyes out.
