Since Ben left the band in November 2003 I’v had mixed views at first I was totally against terry being in the band, as I still thought Ben was the greatest guitarist on the earth. After I saw terry play live with the band in may 2004, I started to believe that the band made the right choice in their new guitarist. I then got in to Seether then I started to see that Ben moody was a false idol and that he was not the person I thought he was.

I know that a lot of people were mad at Ben after he left the band and by the way he left. I thought that it was a bit low to just up and leave the band in the middle of their tour, but I thought that he must have had good reasons for doing it.

I hadn’t listened to fallen for ages so one day when I was listening to some CD’s and thought to myself ‘I’v not listened to Fallen for ages’ I then started to find something that I could relate to in everybody’s fool, and that’s when I totally started to go off Ben completely. I stopped checking his site + it was hardly ever updated.

A few weeks ago when I was at college I saw the video for everything burns. It was as if I had been hit with a sledgehammer! I have said many things about Ben Moody and I know that some people may think I’m a hypocrite, but I urge people to give Ben moody a second chance like I am doing. Even if you are totally against Ben these days there must have been a time when you thought he was cool and that you respected him, so please try to give him a second chance.

I just saw it and I must say, Ben looked really happy. I'm happy for him. They talked about his work with Avril, Kelly and Evanescence. He said his album is darker than Evanescence and it has no piano ballads.

Also, someone posted in this thread that Amy wrote "Everything Burns", I'm not sure if that was a joke or not but Ben said he wrote the song.

Yeah, It was a really good interview. He said Everything Burns was the first song he wrote since his departure from Evanescence. He also said that he is going to try to release his solo album sometime in the fall.

I look at it like this. I don't know Amy or Ben personally so I don't know what happened with the whole leaving the band situation. I happen to think Ben is a musical genius and so is Amy for that matter. They created something wonderful together but when it doesnt work for one of the main people anymore it just falls apart. Ben said him and Amy weren't even real friends after awhile and I'm sure that wasn't easy on either of them.

No one knows what really happened other than Ben and Amy. We shouldn't speculate and automatically curse Ben for leaving. If you're unhappy in a situation you get yourself out regardless if you created it or not. Yes it sucks and I was sad about it when it happened but the band has obviously moved on and theyre alot happier and so is Ben.

To me though Ben had alot of stage persence and I knew he probably wanted to be a star on his own so I'm sure that was alot of the motivation for him leaving and you know what if he can pull it off on his own then let him go for it. I don't "hate" anyone because I don't know them like that and I continue to support Ben in his solo projects just like I would support Amy if she ever decided to leave the band. You can't constantly group people like that all the time Ben is his own person just like Amy is. It's almost like those people that only like Seether because Amy did a song with them it's kind of annoying after awhile and don't see Seether for what they are on their own. Ben is not Amy Amy is not Ben they are not only Evanescence. One day the whole thing will be over and they will all move on with life. Lifes too short to be bitter.

Anyways, I can't wait to go to Fuse tomorrow and see Ben and hopefully get to meet him after 5 years of being a fan (yes I was a fan before I heard of this place)
