Best Cheap Photo-Editing Program
I would like to get some kind of photo editing program, but I don't know which one is best value for money. I have looked at Photoshop but it is ridiculously expensive, and Photoshop Elements (from what I can see) has a very limited range of functions. I am considering Paint Shop Pro 9, but I would like to know more about what you can do with it, so maybe somebody here who has it could tell me more. I do not want the program just to do simple photo-editing, because I can do that on the programs already on my computer, I would like to be able to do creative things on it such as making better signatures and applying lots of different filters/effects to photos. However, I don't want something that takes ages to learn how to use. Any suggestions?

I've just PSP9 for a while and it was very good
I didn't have much to complain. And there are tons of tutorials online to help you along the way.but now i'm happy with photoshop which is even better, but way more expensive!!

I could try, but my computer has Norton Internet Security on and it's set on high so it blocks everything like that. I'd turn it off but I don't know the password.
I'll just download the GIMP when I have time and try that. (As long as that's not blocked aswell!)

Yes, do pirate stuff and steal from the pockets of honest software developers just trying to make a steady income. Steal, and watch prices climb as even more sluggish copy protection is built in to software to try and stop the THIEVING and CHEATING that is being done in the name of "FUN" Stealing is WRONG kids. Why not support open source programs if you want free stuff? Check out sourceforge.net for the best of FREE, including Azureus, OpenOffice and lots more (including GIMP) It might even make you donate a couple of bucks to those tireless softwriters eh ![]()
