Best MMO?
I placed this in off topic because I feel the debate forum is really meant for more important debates.
Whats your favorite MMO? Mine is definately World of Warcraft. It is incredibly easy to pick up and play, but challenging enough to keep hardcore players occupied, and the worlds are HUGE!

DUDE...where's Diablo? Man, I can't get enough of some Diablo 2: Lords of Destruction. I don't think Age of Empires II: Conqueror's Expansion would really fall under this category, but those are my fave's. Not a big Warcraft or Everquest fan...and I've never played the Star Wars game...sorry.

haha World of Warcraft is awesome my bf has me hooked on that game. I have *ok, nerd time..* a dark elf druid lvl 8 right now and I'm training her in Enchanting and Tailoring which are both fun but f***ing expensive! I've played Ultima Online, Diablo, Everquest, and Final Fantasy XI but so far World of Warcraft has been much more enjoyable for me..for so many reasons. like you said it's much more accessible and easy to pick up. You don't have to retrieve your corpse when you die AND you dont' lose exp when you die which is awesome. The trade skills don't ever fail I don't think (so if you have Tailoring, for example, and you say you want to make 10 linen shirts you don't fail half of them and lose all those expensive trade items). it's just a lot less frustrating. I swore after FFXI I wasn't EVER going to play another online game..but my stupid bf had me make a char. on his account and play it just to see what I thought and the next day I got the game.hahaha ack

Diablo 2 is the best game, but it isnt a MMO. All MMOs seem like they suck!

I disagree with your assessment about the combat. Sure, if you have a high lvl character you can get up and leave, but creatures in this game like to sneak up behind you, and you have to be there or your avator wont attack. As for the gameplay being repetitive, maybe a little bit, but how else do you make an MMO anything but mission based? and they do a good job of making a variety of missions.
