Best Video Game Console?

What do you think?

I'd have to vote for SNES. It brought us some of the best games in history, especially for RPG fans. Early FF series, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Lufia 1 and 2, Tecmo: Secret of the Stars, Breath of Fire...

to be honest i thought the best console of its time was the sega megadrive, back in its day, it was a beast, but now i'd have to say ps2 or xbox

To me the best was either SNES or PS 1... I voted SNES though.

SNES or PS2 would be my top choices, I'd lean towards the SNES, you can't beat FFIII and Chronotrigger.

The NEO was a nice council, but it lacked games. I also like the Dolphin (gamecube).

The Xbox has very little to recommend it in my eyes.

Yeah, Squaresoft pwnz. I'd vote PS1 as a runnerup to SNES because of games like Chrono Cross, the rest of the Breath of Fire series, The remake of Ogre Battle, Xenogears, FF Tactics. I probably should have changed the topic to "Best RPG console". :P

PS2 and Snes

Megadrive (Genesis) was pretty damn good too.

and obviously the PC, although it's not really a console
