I would like to see a movie of Angels & Demons... by Dan Brown. But if the rumours are true, a movie will indeed come soon.

naf_ecnecsenave is on a distinguished road
Endar's Game - Orson Scott Card - Would be hard to find good child actors, but the story is solid.
Foundation Series - Issac Asimov
Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury - Small book, but a classic nonetheless

The rest of the books I like are either better in prose, too long, or already in a movie form.

Of course, 75% of the books I love are non-fiction which does not lend itself to entertainment movies unless it is made for T.V. like on the History or Discover channel.

Great choice but it's been done. 1966 - pretty cheesy though. Would love to see a remake.

I can't believe nobody's done Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson yet.

AHHHH!!! Yay! They're making a movie out of The Golden Compass! They'd better do all three books because that would just be awesome. *drool* I looooove this series so I hope they don't botch it.

I'd really like to see The Dark Tower series by Stephen King be made into movies. The movies definitely wouldn't be as good as the books, but it'd still be great to see it adapted to film.

120 days of Sodom? Anyone?

(I'm kind of joking, but it'd be kind of interesting in a sick way...)

No, really? Poisonwood Bible.
