I wanted to share, the poem I wrote for my dad.

"A Loving Father"

Having you as my dad, is simply my greatest joy.
Always with the warmest heart, and a gental touch,
and with all the things you say have always brought me so much
happieness to my heart.
You bring out all the very best in me, for all your kindness, and
so much warmth, and the greatest purest heart, and smile
Nothing can ever be better then that, nor nothing will ever be
better then that.
Even on all the darkest days, you always still make it shiney and
Bright!!
You will always be my loving father, one I will forever
keep deep inside my heart.

This one sounds very happy and comforting, It definately gets the message across. It doesn't seem very poetic but I don't think it needs to be when you can show what someone means to you.
