They're English, or at least British, but they sing with exaggerated American accents. Also they along with Westlife have ruined the Single of the Year or (whatever it's called) because their fanbase of screaming girls vote-whore the crap out of Wetlife's cover or Busted's single that spend 1 or 2 weeks at number 1 over ones that spent weeks at #1 and months in the Top 20.

And they're all think they're hot shit who can get any girl they want, and cut their own hair probably. COS IT'S SO NON-CONFORMING.

And Matt Willis is a womanizing alcoholic who think he's hard enough to have facial hair.

And Fightstar are shite, especially live.

I love mcfly. I know I shouldn't but it's hard not to dance to. It's just so fucking upbeat.

I used to like these bands but I don't listen to them anymore, simply because my taste in music has changed. I have nothing against them persoanlly though I agree with the exaggerated American accent (I'm surprised you never mentioned Son of Dork o_O) I do despise Charlie though, simply because he was a two faced moron.

URGH, I can't stand those bands. >.< And LOL, I know exactly what you mean about the 'exaggerated American accents'- I can't stand it when British people try to sing like an American. It just makes me cringe and it's like they're ashamed of their own natural accents or something...not cool.
