Ok, so I was thinking about this a little more. I still agree that tile is the way to go. No doubt. But it would be a little easier to maintain with a little help around the house.

edit: So I just want to clarify. I don't mean "help around the house" like washing dishes. It takes a LOT to keep tile shiny and smooth. It doesn't stay that way all by itself.

Carpet but I've a fuckin tiled floor and I don't want it at all, it feels like the floors gonna break and I go through it then I die or go to hospital (I also have a tiled floor in the living room) that's why I don't want a tiled floor. Carpet feels like you'll never break the floor and die or go to hospital which is good

I'm not sure... carpet traps allergens, but I'm way more likely to slip and hurt myself on tile...

i used to like a well maintained short pile bus..... erm... carpet but just recently we shav...erm... installed tile and i have to say. i love it!!!

hmm this is really hard to choose. tile because with socks on you can slide everywhere and it's freaking fun. carpet because you can do tricks without hurting yourself as bad.
