^ This is exactly what we are debating. Amy says she and Ben did write such a song, but it was probably never recorded, yet someone here rekons they have a copy it of it or some shit

There was speculation about this song a few years ago, and it was cleared up eventually...I think mods and people said it wasn't a song which was public, or something. Now the question reappears. :S

I saw you guys debating the name Catherine on the first page. Some of you are confused because it isn't her sister's name, but there's no need to use a real name. I am a songwriter, but I never use real names..
So maybe the song exists in a rare version and is it about her sister, only with a different name..

And I'm sorry if this is going to sound rude or something but I have to say it:

For you people who don't/didn't read back a page, "Catherine" was a song that Amy and Ben wrote in a movie theatre parking lot and they only played it to about 25 people in a local coffee shop once or twice.

yer, i agree!

there are certain other Ev songs or one in particular that has been forbidden to listen to and yet that is all over the net...so, it all comes down to common sense!

if 'catherine' is floating about...i'll believe it when i hear it!!

I know there is something about it not only on the other page in this thread but also on the Evanescence reference page it says that it was "recorded and played a few times in little rock". Not necessarily saying that it was done in studio but it's still a small possibility.

It is a song...but Amy and Ben wrote it in a parking lot or something and they only played it live for a few people...so I don't think it was ever recorded :-(....I wanted to hear it!
