Changes in Your Stuff - EvBoard

EvBoard user Uriel Coleridge came to me in early March and suggested that some more categorization in the Your Stuff area might help.

The idea was to create subforums under 'Your Stuff'. One for writing (literary arts) threads, one for pictures/drawing (visual arts) threads, and one for musical arts threads. Those subforums have been created.

The owners of current Your Stuff threads may ask to have them moved to either the Visual Arts, Literary Arts, or Musical Arts areas or choose to leave their thread in the Unfiled/Mixed Media area. If your current thread consists of mixed artistic pursuits, please feel free to start new threads in the appropriate area and we'll close your old thread and redirect readers to your new threads.

It is your responsibility to send a moderator a private message with instructions if you want your current thread moved or otherwise modified. By default, all existing Your Stuff threads will be in the Unfiled area.

How does this affect the "one thread per person" rule? Is it one thread oer section, or only one thread in the whole topic?

Could it be possible to have some sorta field in the thread creation screen thing where you can choose a category that best describes the thread?

That is to say, you may have multiple Your Stuff threads so long as you maintain only one under each category.

You mean when a person first creates a thread?

I think people know what kind of "stuff" they are submitting and where they think it should be categorized. The categories are pretty self explanitory.

OH. They would have to go into the subforum. I thought you could just go into the YS forum, create a thread, choose a category from a drop-down menu, and voila. I just realized you'd have to go into the actual subforum. DUH.

This makes it extremely hard to access different threads because of all the subforums.

I think is very nice now... because if you wanna read go to the Literary Arts or if you wanna see banners or somthing like that you go to that section.
i think is better now!
But users with low internet connection have to open more pages!
