This is a cool site.

It is really cool. I've learned more about the band then I ever know. I hope I can make more friends on here.

That's awesome. I'm a really big fan of their first CD and love Phil's sound. I was worried when the band basically split up... wasn't sure what to expect. Knowing that you are working with him and after hearing those clips, I'm thrilled now.

PRESS RELEASE
http://www.prleap.com/pr/17234/

News Released: October 18, 2005
Official 1 Records and Evanescence Bandmates Knock'em out!

(PRLEAP.COM) Little Rock, AR - Official 1 Records, Little Rock’s premier independent label has enlisted the assistance of Grammy-rocker, John Le Compt of platinum-selling alternative rock band "Evanescence" and Phil Tayler, front man for alternative rock band, "Future Leaders of the World" to re-mix Official 1 Records’ smash hit, "Knock’em Out!" The song was inspired by Arkansas’ World Champion Boxer, Jermain Taylor, as he prepares to defend his belt against ex-champ, Bernard Hopkins on December 3, 2005.

"I hadn’t worked on a hip-hop project before. When Minthone Washington of Official 1 Records’ contacted me, I admit I was a bit apprehensive. After hearing the original track, I said yeah… I can do this. It was really good.", says John Le Compt. As for "Future Leaders of the World" front man Phil Tayler, he and Le Compt are great friends sharing a common love for music. Tayler has worked on rap projects before and was eager to get started on the project. "Official 1 Records has a great sound. Artist Ball Jones, is an awesome talent & I know we can bring an edgy, eclectic, high-energy feel to the already hot track.", states Tayler.

Official has established a long history of support for Jermain Taylor throughout his amateur and professional careers. "Knock’em Out!" is the fourth single released by Official on the champ’s behalf. "There has been a lot of jaw-jabbering from the media, but we’ll all watch in awe as J.T. silences the nay-sayers by defeating Hopkins and bringing the belt back home to Arkansas. J.T.’s gonna KNOCK’EM OUT!", exclaims Official 1 Records’ CEO - Dameon-1. He, along with the entire state of Arkansas stand behind their hero Jermain Taylor - win or lose.

"It’s going to be a great match and as predicted by the new single, Jermain’s gonna ‘Knock’em Out!’ He’s the people’s champ, one of Arkansas’ greatest citizens, not to mention undefeated… How can he lose? He’s got Official 1 records and the entire state of Arkansas behind him.", states Minthone Washington of Official 1’s management team.

The re-mixed version of "Knock’em Out!" is set to be released October 20, 2005. For more information on the single, contact Minthone Washington of Official 1 Management at radiobizness@yahoo.com

That's awesome. I'm not the biggest rap fan around, but I think it's cool that John is experimenting with different stuff.

*is praying for a Polka project*
