Church Near My Home Burned Down This Morning

I heard about it only this morning when I went to work. About 8am it burned down, 8 fire trucks and 40 firefighters to control the blaze. The entire building was burned to the ground although they did manage to save the 'veserty' whatever that is.
The roads were all blocked off and traffic was banked on highway to give the firetrucks more room.
The church is about 200 yards from my work. I have passed it many times before - I actually voted in it last year at the federal election.

The firefighters are still investigating but this smells like arson, and so close to Xmas it is just sickening. Many people would have been looking foward to singing their carols and lighting candles and now their happy memories of their church is destroyed.

I think that if a church was burned, that is weird, maybe it was a sign. Dunno, i've always thought that those buildings are protected for some strange force. Maybe it was the devil.

dont think god can protect a church from being burned if someone realy wants to burn it, it makes sense that a church is burned down so close to christmas,

A church is the people in it, not the building. But anyway, that sucks. What denomination was it?

It was an Anglican church, 150 years old. The firefighters had a hard time getting in the roof to fight the fire from above because the original shingle tiles were still there and they were very hard to remove.

There is nothing left of it now, and it is suspicious, as I thought it would be. It made the local and national news last night - and lucky there were no more fires as the majority of firetrucks in the city were out my way fighting this blaze. The firefighters coundnt even get in yesterday as they have to wait for it to be deemed safe. There are forensic experts there trying to find out what happened.

satanists dont usualy burn church's, maybe somone just very anti-religion, or maybe extremists of another religion
