I love this game and actually just found out about it this christmas...my roomate is getting the PS2 and DDR for her birthday and we actually plan on using it as a substitute workout when we are running short on time. I think it's tons of fun. Although everyone gets a good laugh when I play because I concentrate to hard and stick my butt out and trip over my feet. Oh well at least I provide some entertainment

Yeah I think it can be a good workout...to some extent. My husband got it for xmas and it is a good workout for him. It gets you heart rate up and stuff. I don't think that it is perfect for everyone but if you want a fun way to get your heart pumping...then I think it can be a good thing. Certainly better than coming home and sitting on the sofa all night!

that is awesome. i wish my school had a ddr club...although id doubt many people would join it ... hmm maybe i should start one. that would rock. not only would i be a part of a clu where we can play ddr but its just one more thing to add to me college resume... haha ::is off to try and start a ddr club::

oh and as far as the workout thing is concerned, i like to use it to get my hert pumping and just burn off some extra energy. its a better owrkout though if you play the harder levels on standard or maniac or if you do the challenge level songs.

I think it's fun. I haven't played it since summer, but I got pretty good at Max and Max 2. I can play most songs on standard and do okay.

My friend Sam is obsessed with it, but he's at college with his nice dance pads. So is my brother Matt. He started a DDR club at Ferris State University, so if anyone goes there...join it.

Anyway, I miss it and want to play it again. I think some of my friends just got it, though...so we'll see.

For the record then- the hardest song that I can do and pass with flying colors is Healing Vision [Angelix Mix] and get like an A. Or Era [Nostalmix] and get A or AA.

Healing Vision [A. Mix] on standard and Era [nostalmix] on heavy.

YAY A DDR thread!! I RULE at this game! On DDR Max 2, the song end of the century is amazing, I can do it perfect on light mode. But I'm on standard now. ::feels superior to people on light mode:: I play it with my friend so much that I'm losing weight, if thats possibile! The whistle song is so dirty if you listen to the lyrics, lmao. Blow my whistle baby

On a related story.

2 years ago, I tried to get my middle school to get DDR for PE (i had charts, articles from other schools, contacts, etc. that can confirm DDR's efficiency for Phys. Ed. use), unfortunately, the machines cost $3K-8K. Phew. A little over budget- not to mention insurance and shipping. x_x I was close to getting one- but the only worry was insurance and maintenance (I was able to prove that the machine would pay for itself, should it live long enough, so upfront cost was not an issue, much).

So maybe one of you guys can shoot for it at your school.
