*applauds* Wolf's Raisin. Brilliant. I must tell my friend, she loves that show. So creative.

amazing work *Dawn*! Loved your Inuyasha drawings, very well done. EXCELENT dragonfly pic, the humping dragonflies are hilarious. The drawing if the papillon, you COULD try a bit more detail on the legs.... (NOTE: I'm NOT artist, hell, all my drawings suck ass, so... don't think my advice is the best in the world.) And wolf's Raisin... it's drawings like that that brighten up my day with senseless laughter. Don't worry about transfering mind to paper, it's VERY hard to get it done well. I can't do it with writing, and that's just words. Try and get it into pictures. I see a story perfectly, all the characters, side plots, etc... but when I'm translating it into paper... crap. it's hard. It takes time, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. Keep up the good work, can't wait for more.

Thank you very much.
Yeah, lol I gave up on the papillon pic already. It's going to stay all detail-less forever. As a punishment. Because it stressed me out so much.
Hee. Yeah putting things straight from my mind to paper has always been extremely difficult for me. I guess I'll just have to keep practicing. *nods*
Thanks again for replying, and going through my whole thread.

dark flower: Thank you. I'm glad you like it.

A little something I drew just now out of boredom. Original picture is in my av.

I'm thinking I might color it. I colored the eyes already to make it more...expressive I guess.

Once again my scanner made it look 834905849584908534 times lighter than it really is. I apologize. One day I'll learn how to use the damn thing correctly. Or die trying.

EDIT: Updated the boring black and white version to a newer, half-colored one.

Before you finish coloring the rest of the dog, you might want to adjust his stance a bit. He's at the wrong perspective, and looking at him is very awkward because of it. It appears as if his face and his body are at a 90 degree angle toward one another. Which is, realistically impossible.

You can also see, that if you look at your avatar, the dog is in a much more appropriate stance, as the back of his body is receding at an angle away from his head and front.

If you do decide to fix him, it will make a huge difference in the finished product. But overall, I think it's adorable, and I like the way you stylized a lot of the features, especially the face, lmbo. So cute.

End.

TearsofShadows: Thank you. I'm glad to hear you like my...stuff. *nods*

Carmenescence: Thanks. Really, my stuff makes you want to draw things again?

agentpudge: Thank you so very much. This is the type of constructive criticism I've been waiting for. Thank you thank you thank you.

Honestly, I realized the dog's body was...off, as soon as I started drawing it. I was trying to go for a "real" look when I started out, but soon I realized things were out of proportion, and it looked rather...cartoony. So I decided to just go with it. It came out much more cartoon-like than I'd expected, and it's really not supposed to be a masterpiece or anything (considering I drew it in less than 30 minutes). I see what you mean about the 90° angle though, and how it's impossible.

I've tried to fix it just a little bit and make his back slope upwards more, but well...me being me...If I try to "fix" it anymore, I'll end up completely fucking it up. I have a tendency to do that.
I seem to have made his body a tad bit too long also, and the tail too far back (and not to mention way too large). So to fix it, I'd really have to erase the entire rear end and start over. Which would leave me with a piece of paper full of holes and eraser smudges and other icky things. So I decided to just let the dog be out of proportion and annoying. *glares at it*

Thank you again for your comment. I really appreciate it.

Anyway, here's the "fixed" product...
Once again, please excuse my evil scanner. The huge blobs and smudges aren't really there, and the pink is even, not brighter in some parts like the scan suggests.

Boredom strikes again.
And I finally took the time to draw something. Yay.

It still needs so much work. Like a background for example. And better shading (yes, it has shading, but my evil, evil scanner decided to make it look like it doesn't). The horn is wonky and needs fixing, I know.

Eh. *shrug*

I also did this a while back but never posted it. I found a "How to draw dragons" tutorial online and just had to try it.
