Ev is coming to UMASS, and I got tickets today!! (Yay EvClub!) They go on sale to the general public 10/12. I have general admission floor seats in front of the stage. Has anyone else gone to the Mullins Center before? I usually go to Hartford for shows. Anyone else going?? I'm psyched, they added this show at the last minute!

Hi Angel, I'm going! I actually go to school at Umass, so I'm pretty pumped. I'm not a member of EvClub, so unless someone can lend me a password tonight *shifty eyes* I'll be buying them at midnight tonight. I could buy them right now, but they automatically include an EvClub membership that's like, thirty extra dollars. I'm such a poor kid, haha. Anyway, I never thought I'd go see Ev live again, but I figure, they're practically coming to my front yard, I may as well.

Great! Yeah, I passed up the Hartford shows, but since its right in Amherst (and since you never know when Amy will be touring again,)I scooped up some tix! Its funny, I think technically my evclub membership expired, but they forgot to take me off the list, so I'm glad I still got something for my membership!

Awesome! I got my tix at exactly ten this morning so I could get the floor instead of being stuck somewhere else. Are you floor as well? I decided to get the tickets for the same reason--I may not really approve of Amy's actions anymore, but they were my favorite band for a long time and if they aren't touring again for awhile, I'd like to be able to see them one last time.

I have that plan too. I'm not too sure what time to show up, but I don't want to be at the back of the crowd. I went to the Avalon concert, I couldnt see anything because most people aren't as short as I am. Very frustrating. I'm getting boots so I can at least see over SOME heads!

I am SO very happy for ALL of you going to see Ev!!

I can tell you, if your feeling down, seeing Ev is the exact right place to be, they will give you such a rush, and all that possitive energy they give off, OMG, you will all feel SO energetic before, during, and after the concert!!
I love hearing all the pounding sounds of the guitars, and drums!!
I would have been able to go, only if it wasn't for not having my pass port!!

That sucks that you need a passport from Canada to the US! Pre 9/11 that wasn't even a consideration

As for a time, I was thinking I'd get there at 4:30-5:00. Probably closer to 5pm. Luckily I am 5' 10" (taller than my bf even!) So I'm as tall as most men!

Did anyone else go? I thought it was great! Amy's voice was strong and dead on, and she had plenty of energy. They played Missing and Understanding, but the big surprise was that she played My Immortal!!! Yay! And she played it as a sing-along, very cool. I was really close to the stage (so close that I couldn't see her over the piano lol) She said that this was the next to the last show of the tour, and they were on the road for a year, so for the person in the other thread that thinks they are touring in Jan. or Feb., I think they're out of luck.

The comic relief was in Amy's piano issues. They started playing Sweet Home Alabama while waiting for the piano to rise from the floor, and later the rods coming up from the pedals came unattached, so they were waving around not attached to anything.

Overall, the performance was excellent, Amy's voice was perfect, no huffing and puffing, totally on pitch.

Sick Puppies was great too!
