I agree. How can so many random events happen within a group of 10 people? One week a person it dying, the next they are alive and find out that their father is an alien and controls whatever they are thinking and what they do. Damn angsty shows *rolls eyes*

I love it. But I also totally feel like a hack for liking it so much. It's aimed for freaking middle schoolers and I'm a senior :/

I think I may just watch it because Jake Epstein is really, really freaking hot. Degrassi is the only show I can claim that about.

Also, the fact that it's like, pure, undiluted drama is sort of a catharisis for me. Like, hey, least I'm not living that life. Though life with Craig would be nice.

...I'm not that hormonal most of the time, I promise.

But gah, when Manny and Craig hooked up I wanted to break something. I *hate* Manny. A lot.

Ehhh. Degrassi is annoying. I used to watch it alot but I guess I wore it out because I eventually got sick of it. I like some of the characters though!

I LOVE Degrassi! I have since season 1!!! I saw the season premiere on Firday...it's hilarious how much I get into that show...I can't help it! It's great. For any other hardcore fans like me, they relesed season 1 on DVD a few days ago. I haven't bought i tyet, but I'm defintiely going to...also, someone mentioned an episode called "accidents will happen"...what was that one about? The-N sucks b/c they never show any episodes related to stuff that we're really going through. I mean they act like we don't know what sex is or we've never heard bad language before...they only air the "clean" episodes. It's kinda funny if you think about it.

Spoilers ahead, I guess.

Accidents Will Happen was a two parter focusing mainly on Craig and Manny. There were some misunderstandings on the night of Should I Stay or Should I Go? and Manny hasn't had her period for two months. There's some angsting in there for a bit, until finally she goes and talks to Spike about it and it turns out she's pregnant. Craig is sort of wonky about it and leads her on about believing that they could have it and what not, until they take care of baby Jack for all of five minutes and go bonkers. Ashley sort of blurts out to the whole school how stupid they were--to get back at Craig, mostly--and there's some more angsting. Eventually, Manny tells her mom what happened and also that she wants an abortion. They're in the clinic when the episode ends.

No idea why the-N didn't show it, since Shout (Paige's rape saga) was as much if not more serious than the abortion topic. It may be that in good ol' Canada it's not such a taboo topic, and down here it would've aired during an election year. the-N is actually a subsidiary of MTV, so it makes a bit of sense that they're trying to stay on neutral territory during such a hellacious time, I suppose.

Also, I have no idea why the-N split the current season up so much. The one they're claiming is the "new" one is actually the last half of the season they just "finished". In Canada it was all in a tightly wrapped one season package. So little sense does all this make :/

I've heard so much talk about the Craig and Manny episode, and was REALLY disappointed that they didn't air it. I was really looking forward to seeing it! Maybe they'll release it when they release the dvd? I didn't know they had released season 1 already! I'll have to keep my eye out for it. It's being sold in the US too right?

Edit: I saw it on amazon.com and bought it! Hehe =)

HAHAHAHA! That's mainly the reason why I don't like it so much. So overdramatised. Life doesn't have that much drama.
